Annotation

The article provides an in-depth analysis of the use of the concept of civil society institutions in the legislation, the reasons for refusing to name non-governmental non-profit organizations as "non-governmental organizations", disclosing the structure of civil society institutions in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, theoretical and legal aspects of defining a public association, and author's suggestions on the subject are given.
