Annotation
The article describes a clinical case involving a single patient, detailing a sequential methodology: First stage being an evaluation of the feasibility of placing dental implants in the regions of the right maxilla and the mandible following a left hemimaxillectomy, based on 3D computed tomography (CT), second stage being fixation of the dental implants. Third being removal of the cover screws and placement of gingiva formers following osseointegration.
Subsequent stage: Orthopedic rehabilitation following dental implantation.
Following hemimaxillectomy and with the integration of dental implants, the resulting defect was managed using an obturator, thereby enabling the restoration of both the dentition and the palatal structure. This achieved the surgical and social rehabilitation of the patient by successfully restoring essential vital functions, including mastication, swallowing, speech, and aesthetics. Each stage is discussed in detail in the presented article.
