Annotation

This article examines contemporary perspectives on the traditions of multiculturalism in Western Europe in the context of globalization, migration, and geopolitical transformations. The study analyzes the evolution of multicultural policies in countries such as Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, emphasizing the interaction between integration, national identity, and social cohesion. Particular attention is devoted to recent migration crises, the rise of right-wing populism, and the challenges associated with refugee integration. The article argues that multiculturalism in Western Europe is undergoing a process of transformation rather than decline. Modern European societies increasingly seek adaptive models that combine cultural diversity with civic integration and democratic stability. The research is based on comparative and historical analysis and demonstrates that successful multicultural policies require institutional support, intercultural dialogue, and inclusive social strategies.
