Annotation

This article reveals the issues of educating a future specialist in vocational education institutions. The main methods used in vocational educational institutions in order to develop professional and general competencies in students are revealed and analyzed. The competencies underlying the development of the personality of a specialist contributing to competition in the labor market have been identified. The need to search for innovative forms and methods in solving the problems of educating a graduate with sustainable skills and abilities to perform professional duties has been substantiated.
