Annotation

The first Constitution of the Lao PDR promulgated in 1991 affirmed that: "All state power belongs to the entire working labor", ensuring the political power of the working labor is a requirement of the process of national renewal in Laos. The State in general and the National Assembly in particular play an important role in ensuring the political power of the working labor and building a rule of law state in Lao PDR. The article focuses on clarifying the current situation and proposing some solutions to strengthen the role of the National Assembly of Lao PDR in building a socialist-oriented rule of law state in the new period.
