Annotation
The article deals with the organization of the military structure during the reign of Philippe II Augustus. The strengthening of the monarch's power and the bureaucratization of society are analyzed. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the royal army, sources of salary are being reconstructed. The symbolic aspect is investigated on the basis of a three-part model of the representation of society.
