This study reports the synthesis of carbon dots and magnetite, as well as the morphological and elemental characterization of the obtained nanocomposite. Carbon dots were synthesized from watermelon peel at 180 °C for 5 hours based on the principles of green chemistry. The morphology and microstructure of the synthesized nanocomposite were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). TEM analysis revealed that the synthesized nanoparticles had an average diameter of approximately 8–10 nm. The EDS spectra confirmed the presence of Fe, C, and O elements, indicating the successful incorporation of carbon dots into the Fe₃O₄ matrix.
