Annotation

From the aerial parts of Astragalus mucidus (Leguminosae), a new cycloartane glycoside - cycloasidoside C (1) - was isolated. Its structure was determined as 3-O-β-D-(3-OAc)-xylopyranoside, 6,25-di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside-24R-cycloartane-3β,6α,16β,24,25-pentol. The structure of the isolated compounds was established based on chemical transformations and 1H, 13C NMR spectra (2D HMBC, HSQC, COSY and DEPT).
