This article presents an integrative analysis of previously obtained experimental data on hydrothermally synthesized NaY zeolite, with particular emphasis on the consistency and limitations of its structural, crystal-chemical, and textural characteristics. Results from X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM–EDS), and low-temperature nitrogen adsorption (BET and DFT analyses) are critically compared. The XRD reflections are consistent with the FAU topology, while local EDS measurements yield a Si/Al atomic ratio of approximately 2.10. Previously reported values for the investigated sample include a specific surface area of 654.2 m2/g, a total pore volume of 0.34 cm3/g, and a calculated mean pore diameter of 2.08 nm. The latter value, consistent with the geometric estimate 4V/S, does not represent the aperture of an FAU framework window; likewise, the DFT-derived distribution maximum near 2 nm depends on the assumed pore model. Comparing measurements obtained for a single specimen does not establish a causal relationship between Si/Al ratio and porosity. This paper is an integrative analytical assessment and does not present the underlying measurements as new experiments.
