SYNTHESIS OF A HALOGENATED ETHER OF SALICYLIC ACID AND THEIR IR SPECTROSCOPIC ANALYSIS

the article discusses antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial agents used in various industries, as well as the influence of their derivatives on plant growth depending on their composition and properties, especially compounds containing a benzene ring, active functional groups such as a halogen atom. The article focuses on salicylic acid, its important derivatives, and research conducted in this area. It also discusses the conditions for synthesizing the chlorinated derivative of 2-hydroxy (2-butadienyl-1,3) benzoic acid, its structure, the results obtained, and the interpretation of IR spectral analysis of the starting and synthesized compounds. Conclusions are drawn from IR spectral analysis of the structure of the synthesized substances.
