STRONGYLOIDIASIS OF RUMINANTS OF THE STEPPE ZONE OF UKRAINE

The monograph summarizes the data from the authors' research and Ukrainian and foreign publications about the peculiarities of the distribution of ruminant Strongyloides papillosus and the most widespread helminths on the territory of Ukraine. Consistent presentation of the material reveals the nature of the occurrence of strongyloidiasis and its spread. Methods for identifying Strongyloides papillosus that contribute to the qualitative differential diagnosis of ruminant helminths invasions are described. Morpho functional changes in mammalian organs for strongyloidiasis, assessment of mutagenicity of the causative agent of strongyloidiasis, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of strongyloidiasis are analyzed.

The data presented are the basis for scientifically based control measures against strongyloidiasis.
